NGO Denounces Severe Conditions at La Crisálida Women's Prison

The Venezuelan Prison Observatory denounced severe overcrowding, lack of medical attention, food shortages, and basic service failures at the Centro de Formación para Procesadas Femeninas La Crisálida. According to the organization, inmates are denied medical evacuation until they are on the verge of death. The complaints are based on testimonies gathered from the women detained at the facility in Los Teques, Miranda state.
