Bolsonaro Refuses to Recognize Lula's Victory and Seeks Annulment

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro announced that he does not recognize President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s presidential election victory. He stated that efforts will be made to annul the election based on the argument that the extension of voting hours by a Supreme Federal Court judge was irregular. Lula had won the runoff with 51.78% of valid votes against 48.22%.
