US and Dominican Republic Disrupt Traffickers in Operation Ultramar

The Dominican Republic and the United States conducted Operation Ultramar in the Central Caribbean to disrupt traffickers. From August 15 to 28, 2026, the coordinated counternarcotics effort combined intelligence, surveillance, maritime patrol aircraft, surface vessels, and interdiction capabilities. Regional and international partners also supported the operation.
