France: Migrants attempt increasingly more difficult journeys to reach Britain

Migrant boats are attempting increasingly longer — and more dangerous — journeys across the English Channel, as maritime patrols of the area have significantly been beefed up in recent months. Some boats try to depart from spots in northern France, which are located up to five times further away than traditional routes used by irregular migrants.
